What does a mother (this one) do?

Best she can.

Becoming a mum, I discovered how much was sacrificed for me. As we all do.

We all live and breathe every tiny hiccup for the baby we make.

as a natural therapist, teacher of acupuncturists and problem solver for others for nearly a decade prior to Kathryn’s arrival – I laid down my tools for others and began to fight for her life. And her independence. And mine.

So many asked me – ‘what do the doctors say?’ As the one who was there to help those who had lost their battle with the medical options, I was not in the same head seace as the questioner. I knew they had no tools in their box. Thus -I was outside their realm. As Kathryn was. Waiting to die. It was MY scope of practice to do what life had now tasked me with. At home. My own live in patient.
